What am I going to do with my one wild and precious life? What, indeed?
All my adult life, I lived from a place of scarcity + deprivation. And here's a shameful something I've never said out loud: I silently judged those who didn't.
Sure, that's uncomfortable to admit--but I tell you so you can see the power of choosing Just One Word.
I used to think dreams, joy, and fulfillment were luxuries. Now, I embrace them....and I hope you do, too.
I really do.
I chose Possibility for my One Word 2018. And I asked, What might be possible if I released fear from the driver's seat?
That January, I took a deep dive into EMDR therapy for childhood trauma. I did the messy-hard work and found my answer: A lot, come to find out. A lot is possible.
It's possible to enjoy a cup of coffee or a butterscotch sundae or buying a book or a few hours for myself.
It's possible to return to Me without compromising my role as parent or spouse. In fact--I bring more to the people I love when I pursue my own possibilities.
It's possible to take risks and fail and start again. And?
It's possible to take risks and succeed!
It's possible to dream.
It's never too late! Let's get started.
Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?
